Associate Attorney for Human Rights Accountability
Scott is a member of the Foreign Policy Team at Human Rights First engaging U.S. government actors on the ways that American law and federal policy affect human rights outcomes internationally. Scott manages the day-to-day operations of HRF’s human rights and anti-corruption sanctions coalition, a global network of over 250 NGOs that use legal mechanisms like the Global Magnitsky Act to create accountability for serious human rights abuses and corruption perpetrated by malign actors around the world.
Scott received his JD from Columbia Law School, where he was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar and Executive Editor of the Journal of Law and Social Problems. He has a B.A. in Sociology from Harvard University with a Secondary Field in Portuguese Language and Literature.
