Sumi Dhanarajan

Sumi Dhanarajan is the Associate Director, APAC at Forum for the Future, an international sustainability non-profit that tackles complex sustainability challenges through systems change approaches. She is an international development practitioner specialising in the impacts of the private sector on human rights and poverty reduction and has worked extensively on issues relating to labour standards in global supply chains, access to medicines, and human rights impacts in various commodity value chains. Previously, she has served as human rights officer to the Malaysian Bar Council; senior legal adviser to the Hong Kong Democratic Party’s secretariat for legislative councillors; head of the private sector advocacy team at Oxfam GB; and lead on the ‘Public Roles of the Private Sector programme at the Centre on Asia and Globalisation, Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy. National University of Singapore. She is a founding trustee of the Business and Human Rights Resource Centre; and currently a member of the World Economic Forum’s Global Futures Council on Human Rights.
